Services
Homework  Assistance

We have three full-time staff as well as a varying number of volunteers who are available every day to assist with whatever problem a child may have. We also have Microsoft's Student 2006 software that will supply on-line aid for all aspects of your child's scholastic needs in addition to the software used in the high-school for math instruction.

Internet Access

Available only to those students whose parent/guardian has given us a signed document stating that the student has permission to use our computers for internet activities

EDLINE    This is the on-line system available to both students and parents whereby they may track the student's progress on a daily basis. Our computers are available for this activity during our open hours and if demand is great enough, we may offer after hours access.
Arts & Crafts    Our staff offers various types of arts & crafts projects during the year as time and interest permit.
Games    We offer many board games such as Monopoly, Chess, Checkers. Several multiplayer computer games are available as well.
Outdoor Activities    Weather and parental permission permitting , touch football, soccer or other outdoor activities are available after homework is completed.
Snacks    At 5:00pm each program day, we supply attending students a snack. This will consist of whatever the days menu includes. Typically, tang or cool-aid with chips, cookies, or other quick items. Parents must tell us of allergy problems a student may have so we can supply alternative items where needed.
Music Instruction    This is provided through the Maryland Conservatory of Music. A volunteer from MCM will provide one day per week instruction for interested students on a variety of instruments. A concert by involved students will be offered at the end of the course. Parental permission for involvement is required.
